Spielberg invades Bayonne

War aliens compared to Minority Report's

Everybody is harping on how the redweed and the aliens will look like in the upcoming War of the Worlds. I thought Steven Spielberg would likely reach back for many of the same effects he displayed in Minority Report. In some cases he did. The plants and spiders were always the side show in Minority Report, but these effects took center stage in the war movie. Here are some of the images from the previous film placed side by side with those from War of the Worlds.
